FEES
Our practice does not currently bill insurance for assessment services because we provide comprehensive, in-depth evaluations that insurance companies typically do not reimburse at a level that would allow us to deliver the quality and time investment these assessments require. Insurance policies often impose restrictions on the length of sessions, the type and number of assessment measures permitted, and the clinical focus of testing—all of which can compromise the thoroughness and accuracy of a neuropsychological evaluation. In addition, academic and learning-related testing is usually not covered under insurance benefits. If you would like to pursue reimbursement on your own, we can provide a detailed invoice (“superbill”), which you may submit directly to your insurance provider. Please be aware that superbills include diagnosis and procedure codes, which means the information becomes part of your insurance record.
Reimbursement, if any, varies widely based on individual plans, so we recommend contacting your insurance carrier to determine whether any out-of-network benefits apply. Because coverage decisions are made solely by your insurer, we cannot guarantee any level of payment.
We’re able to offer a small number of sliding-scale slots for families who need financial flexibility. This means the fee is reduced based on your financial situation. These spots are limited, but we try to reserve them for clients who otherwise wouldn’t be able to access a high-quality, comprehensive assessment. Families and church communities are also often underutilized sources of financial support, and we have pre-written letters you can use to request assistance from either or both, right here.
To protect appointment times, a credit card is required on file. The card will only be charged in the event of a missed appointment or a cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice unless the situation qualifies as a legitimate emergency.
Most psychological and behavioral health services can be paid for using Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). These accounts can be used like a standard credit card and often allow the cost of services to be paid with pre-tax dollars. Since plan rules vary, please verify with your specific HSA or FSA provider if any limitations apply. Given this info, here are our fees:
